Christian Counseling Connection, Inc. started out as the brainchild of three counselors from differing disciplines who met monthly for peer supervision and prayer support. Launching the agency in 2001 with a grant from the Bakerville United Methodist Church, two counselors, a director, and an office manager shared three small rooms in the first-floor apartment of a private home. The incorporators immediately formed a board of directors (many of whom are still serving) filed for non-profit status.
Today CCC still has its ever-faithful director, but now there are seven therapists, an office manager, and two office staffers. One of the strengths of the agency is the variety of disciplines represented by state-licensed therapists: social workers, marriage and family therapists, and professional counselors.
Most of the staff meets weekly for office business, prayer, worship, and case-sharing.
As well as being sought out by private individuals, CCC receives referrals from physicians, state agencies, insurance companies, courts, attorneys, pastors and para-church organizations.
