Christian Counseling Connection FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

For your convenience, we have put together some frequently asked questions. Should these prompt additional thoughts about therapy and how it works, you might want to go to our Services Page. There, we walk you through the process of securing an appointment date and what a session might entail. We look forward to serving you.

Will you accept me for treatment if I am not a Christian?

Yes! Many of our clients are not Christian. However, your therapist may desire to open and close his/her session with a brief prayer.

Is everything I say in therapy confidential?

Absolutely! We only disclose information to other agencies/individuals if you request us to in writing. However, if there is a chance of harm to you or someone else, as state-mandated reporters, we are required to report our concerns to others.

Will you also see my family?

Sometimes therapists will work with the families of clients, others will refer them to another counselor within our agency.

What if I can't pay my copay?

It is not legal for us to see you if you do not pay the copay you have agreed upon with your insurance company. Some churches and organizations have funds available to help you with your costs.

What if I don't have mental health insurance benefits?

We have a sliding scale based on your income for clients who do not have mental health insurance benefits.

Do you take all insurances?

We participate with most insurances. Call our agency at 860-626-1112 to find out if we are in network with your insurance company.

How often will I meet with my therapist?

Depending on both of your schedules, your appointments will take place usually once a week or once every two weeks.
